Explore the National Mall!
See the Washington Monument: Take a walk to see a staple of the National Mall located just 1.2 miles from the Capital Hilton. This 555-foot marble obelisk tower was built to honor George Washington, the United States First president. It is located along 15th Street between Madison and Jefferson drives.
Visit the Lincoln Memorial: Get a glimpse of America’s front yard! The 19-foot-tall statue of Lincoln is beautifully placed between 36 columns, each representing a state of the union at the time of Lincoln’s death. The steps of this memorial are also where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his legendary "I Have A Dream" speech in 1963.
See The White House: Take a stroll past the White House located just half a mile from the Capital Hilton. The best view of the front of the White House is from Pennsylvania Avenue NW. This is a great way to begin your tour through the National Mall.

Zekes Coffee: Need to charge up? Just ½ mile from the Capital Hilton Hotel stands a local coffee roastery. Zekes Coffee specializes in organic, fair trade, and specialty grade Arabica beans. Zekes is located at 731 15th St. NW in Washington, D.C. They are open 7 days a week from 7am-5pm on weekdays and 8am-4pm on weekends.
Immigrant Food: Located near the White House and just ½ mile from the Capital Hilton, Immigrant food offers delicious and creative food to reflect America’s core. Not only is the food a hot topic here, but you will also have an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors by sitting outside with a great view.

Step out from the Capitol Hilton area and explore all that Washington, D.C. has to offer. Transportation across Washington D.C. can be found via Metrorail, Bus, and more. Both provide a clean, safe, and reliable transit service for more than 60,000 customers daily. The Metrorail system has six color-coded rail lines: Red, Orange, Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green. The system layout makes allows for travel between stations with no more than a single transfer. You can even view the Metrorail live with the link below.
