INDUSTRY SUPPORT PROSPECTUS

Dear Industry Partners,

On behalf of the Eastern Vascular Society, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 37th Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting will be held from September 7 – 9, 2023 at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, D.C. Given the great in person turnout this past year, we again expect to host 350-400 vascular surgeons and trainees from the eastern regions of the United States and Canada. This Industry Prospectus will give you all the necessary information to enable you to participate in the Annual Meeting. As the year progresses, please be sure to check out website for regular updates, at http://www.easternvascular.org

We have several different support levels and opportunities and encourage companies who would prefer to support the mission of the Society at a more significant level to look at the Support Opportunities section of the Prospectus. We have several high value engagement opportunities that may be of interest and would be happy to discuss participation. If desired, we are available to discuss a customized package for your company at any time.

The EVS meeting will offer information regarding the care of vascular conditions and associated material that will allow vascular surgeons, trainees, and other Allied Health Professionals to remain current on the latest knowledge, approaches, and procedures that will lead to better patient care. Due to an ever-increasing prevalence of vascular disease in our society, there has never been a more challenging time to be a vascular surgeon or a time when it has been more critical to keep abreast of developments in the field. The introduction of Maintenance of Certification and increasing multi-specialty competition in our current healthcare system pose new challenges and make further education on cutting-edge approaches to the treatment of vascular disease essential.

Similar to last year, we will have a dynamic interactive trade show that will facilitate interaction with meeting attendees allowing industry to showcase their products. We are excited about continuing the abstract category in the plenary session for “New Innovations and Technology” to encourage the presentation of new technology and advancement within the main academic sessions. Based on feedback, we will also have a Technology Forum session scheduled between the last Plenary session of the day, and evening events to allow industry to showcase new products and technology. Given the success of the simulation sessions, we are planning to expand the scope of these sessions to offer more value to the attendees. We will also have debates and sponsored mini presentations from industry partners taking place in prime and dedicated space within the exhibit hall during the break sessions to allow for presentations of new products and late-breaking clinical data. Dedicated simulation and Mock Oral Exam sessions will be scheduled outside of the main meeting hours. This will allow our vascular trainee attendees to attend more of the main meeting.

We look forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C. Please feel free to contact the Meeting Manager if you need assistance: 503-635-4761 option 2. Sincerely,

Shang Loh, MD
Chair, Development Committee

Peter Faries, MD
President, The Eastern Vascular Society

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The specialty of vascular surgery has matured and evolved dramatically over the last three decades, but never more profoundly than in recent years. In view of the rapid development of novel, evolving technologies; the generation of information at a rate faster than at any time in history; and the unprecedented growth of the elderly segment of our population in whom circulatory disease predominates, there has never been a more challenging time to be a vascular surgeon, or a time when it has been more critical to keep abreast of developments in the field. The introduction of Maintenance of Certification and increasing multi-specialty competition in our current healthcare system pose new challenges and make further education on cutting-edge approaches to the treatment of vascular disease essential. The Annual Meeting of the EVS will allow vascular surgeons and other Allied Health Professionals to remain current on the latest knowledge, approaches, and procedures that will lead to better patient care.

ATTENDANCE

The meeting will draw primarily from the EVS membership which is represented in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states, as well as Eastern Canada and Puerto Rico. The meeting is also open to Non-member Physicians, Residents and Fellows, Students, RVTs, Nurses and other Allied Health Professionals. Projected attendance for 2023: 400. The Eastern Vascular Society is the largest Regional Vascular Meeting in the US.
